Patriots Win Buckland Cup, Advance to Centennial Cup
The Patriots completed their mission in style, earning a 5 to 2 victory in Game 5 to capture the Buckland Cup and secure their place at the Centennial Cup.
Karmiris opened the scoring to set the tone, while Vacca, Cooksey, and Hebblethwaite each added goals. Collins sealed the win with an empty net marker late in the game.
Caracciolo delivered another strong performance in goal, stopping 34 of 36 shots to help secure the championship victory.
With the Buckland Cup in hand, the Patriots now turn their attention to the Centennial Cup in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, beginning May 7, where they will compete for a national title.
